I view healing as a continuum, within the context of life roles, life tasks, and the pursuit of balance between work, rest, play and self-care.
I have focused my continuing education to equip Full Spectrum Healing with treatment modalities which address the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of my client’s function for lasting improvement.
In 1990 I earned my B.S. in Occupational Therapy with a minor in psychology from Texas Woman’s University in Denton TX. With a strong background in theater arts, dance, music, visual arts, and aquatic sports I have found this to be an ideal profession for me.
I have had the pleasure to train and practice treating: Spinal Cord Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury, Vocational Injury and Rehabilitation, Hand Therapy, Stroke and Neuro Rehabilitation, Neuro-psychiatric Rehabilitation, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Low Vision and Progressive Blindness, ADD/HD, Handwriting (Dysgraphia/Dyscalculia), Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and Pediatric Incontinence, Vestibular dysfunction (Balance and Coordination Dysorders), Arthritis, Muscular Dystrophy.
My zest for joy in life colors my perceptions of the process of healing for my clients of all ages.
